TRINITY’s staff of experienced pump engineers has access to the best tools and software to allow them to rapidly design and test new products and reverse-engineer older models to improve and refine their performance.

SOLIDWORKS 2016 is a powerful 3D design solution for the rapid creation of parts, assemblies, and 2D drawings. Additionally, we use this software, to produce advanced photorealistic renderings and perform powerful simulation & design validation as well as professional design collaboration, and reverse engineering operations.

We use PolyWorks | Inspector as a powerful industrial 3D metrology software solution to control our part dimensions, diagnose and prevent manufacturing and assembly issues, guide assembly building through real-time measurements, and oversee the quality of assembled products by using non-contact point cloud digitizers and single-point contact-based probing devices.

PolyWorks | Modeler is our comprehensive reverse-engineering software solution that allows extracting optimal CAD entities – curves, surfaces, parametric sketches, and prismatic features – from polygonal  models of digitized parts to serve as the starting point in our SolidWorks modeling.

We work extensively with the Edge ScanArm HD by FARO. This high performance contact/non-contact measurement system and is ideal for dimensional analysis, product development, inspection, and quality control. It offers capabilities such as point cloud comparison with CAD, rapid prototyping, reverse engineering, and 3D modeling of free-form surfaces.

The best engineering in the world is insufficient without rigorous and thorough testing of the design and products before they are delivered to the customer.

Destructive Testing

To help our engineers analyze problems, we often utilize destructive testing procedures on existing products to find flaws in design and manufacturing. This destructive testing often starts with shot blasting surfaces to reveal defects hidden by paint and filler. Further testing may submit the products to extreme forces, heat, and pressures or even cutting the products to reveal internal structural issues.

NDT Ultrasonic Testing

Non-destructive, ultrasonic testing is performed on all pumps prior to shipment. This testing reveals flaws in the castings which can lead to pre-mature metal failure. This testing is performed by certified testers utilizing the latest equipment available.
